Our Chef
Creation
Chef Georgios Vlachos was born on January 3, 1986, in Kavala. A father and husband, his history with cooking dates back to his childhood. His grandfather, a fisherman by profession, brought fresh fish almost every day, filling the house with the smell of charcoal, fresh lemon, and pure oil from the island of Thassos. These smells and tastes left an indelible mark on his memory, giving birth to a love for cooking.
After cooking for sailors in the Greek army during an experimental stage, his passion for cooking began to overwhelm him. However, after completing his term in Greek army, he lost contact with the culinary world for two years, instead dealing with trade and sales. This path was not enough to satisfy his passion.
In the summer of 2007, he decided to actively pursue his dream and began his studies and internship in Rhodes, the heart of Greek tourism. There, alongside the maîtres of the culinary arts in 5-star hotels, his magical journey into the world of taste and the creation of original recipes began.
After years of exploring and gaining experience in the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, and mainland Greece, where he worked in various restaurants and hotels, he became an active member of the creative team at the Greek restaurant “APOMERO”. His journey reflects his dedication and love for cooking, offering his customers unique dining experiences that combine tradition with innovation.
